Koniag Professional Services (KPS)currently has an opening for an Acquisition Policy Analyst for the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer’s (CDAO) Acquisition Office.

The successful candidate will provide support analyzing and interpreting acquisition policies, regulations, and procedures relevant to digital and artificial intelligence initiatives. Expertise in acquisition policies and regulations, combined with analytical skills, will be crucial in providing guidance, ensuring compliance, and optimizing acquisition strategies to support the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions, ensuring understanding and compliance within the organization.

  • Provides guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders on compliance issues, policy interpretations, and best practices related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.

  • Interprets and applies acquisition policies to inform decision-making processes, procurement strategies, and contract actions for digital and artificial intelligence projects.

  • Conducts research and stays abreast of changes in acquisition laws, regulations, and industry best practices, providing recommendations and updates to stakeholders as needed.

  • Supports the preparation and submission of acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies as required.

  • Collaborates with legal, procurement, and program management teams to develop and implement acquisition strategies that mitigate risk, promote efficiency, and support project objectives.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to enhance understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance.

  • Reviews acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, to ensure alignment with applicable policies, requirements, and standards.

  • Prepares documentation review for various documents, including acquisition, other program document, and technical papers, and correspondence. Ensure documents are prepared in the appropriate format and are free from grammatical errors.

  • Assists other team members in other tasks and initiatives as needed to accomplish the overall mission.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience

  • To be considered, must have a Current/Active DoD SECRET

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with federal with acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.

  • Experience providing guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders on compliance issues, policy interpretations, and best practices related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.

  • Experience preparing acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation for submission to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies.

  • Experience developing and delivering acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to enhance understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance.

  • Experience reviewing acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, to ensure alignment with applicable policies, requirements, and standards.

  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities

  • Ability to uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Ability to take a conceptual discussion and build a presentation to convey the message.

  • Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.

  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient MS Teams, Excel and Outlook application skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or field

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
