Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an IT Project Manager with a Secret Clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Washington, DC.

The IT PM is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single POC for those projects.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.

  • Defines project scope and objectives.

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks, tracks, and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Current active Secret Security Clearance

  • Possess and maintain an active Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Have the ability to plan, estimate, propose, execute, staff, budget, and close out IT projects.

  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

  • Have strong communications skills in verbal presentations and written documents.

  • Have problem solving skills in personnel management, project management, and providing deliverables.

  • Have proficiency in IT project planning and monitoring progress of IT projects.

  • Have experience with a variety of writing types such as proposals, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, and job performance aids.

  • Have experience with graphics programs.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Have expert knowledge of IT Systems and understanding of networking and computer IS.

  • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
